The Inland Empire Section of the NCNW covers a wide region of southern California. It was organized on May 1967, in the home of Lucy Haines, who acted as temporary President during the organizational phase leading to receipt of its chapter in Nov. 1967.
Lois Carson served from 1968 - 1972.

About Dorothy Height:
After college, Dorothy Height worked as a teacher in the Brownsville Community Center, Brooklyn, New York. She was active in the United Christian Youth Movement after its founding in 1935.
